“Building a Life in Calgary” Event

The Calgary Local Immigrant Partnership in collaboration with community partners hosted a newcomer event “Building a life in Calgary” which was held on February 4^th at the BMO Centre. The event focused on resources available for newcomers as they settle down and build their life in Calgary. In addition to the resources newcomers also had an opportunity to attend workshops on English Language, Financial Literacy, Volunteering opportunities and so on. The Calgary Bridge Foundation hosted the Financial Literacy workshop in Arabic. The event also included some family fun and activities including crafts and horse drawn sleigh rides.
