CBFY is Awarded the Welcome to Kindergarten Award

The Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth (CBFY) has been awarded the Welcome to Kindergarten Award (WTK). This honour recognizes the contributions of individuals, agencies or school teams who have demonstrated excellence in collaborating with schools and communities, supporting parents and children in the transition to kindergarten and advocating for The Learning Partnership’s Welcome to Kindergarten Program. Welcome to Kindergarten is designed to help preschoolers with a positive start to their school journey. Parents and their children attend spring and fall “Welcome to Kindergarten” orientation sessions at their neighbourhood schools, where they receive early learning and literacy resources and learn how to use them at home. Since 2004, more than 450,000 children and families have taken part in WTK orientations.
