Media Attends Mentorship Summer Program Wrap Up

On August, 17th, Media were invited to attend the wrap up of our Mentorship Summer Program. The Mentorship Program focuses on supporting the settlement and integration of newcomer immigrant and refugee youth entering grades 10-12 throughout the school year, and grades 7-12 in the summer. The program provides information, resources, and support to facilitate positive transitions for youth into Canadian schools and communities. Media recognized the unique aspect of the program, which involves the participation of Peer Mentors, youth who were once newcomers themselves, who provide 1:1 support for incoming newcomer youth during programming and community connections activities.
