The RBC Youth Empowerment

Be an independent learner, be social & confident

Begin your preparations for post-secondary in high school from grades 10–12. The RBC Youth Empowerment program is free and runs after school from John G. Diefenbaker High School, Monday to Friday for 2.5 hours to help support you in raising your grades and setting goals for your future.

Guest speakers, field trips and social events are paired with free tutoring in core subjects that will aid you in becoming a more confident, independent learner. You’ll grow your leadership skills and improve your English language skills, all while immersing yourself in Canadian culture.

To further your post-secondary preparations, we will help you:

  • Tour post-secondary campuses
  • Receive post-secondary application support
  • Explore career opportunities
  • Build your volunteer hours
  • Have an opportunity to win scholarships
  • Become a part of a student community

You’ll receive free tutoring in these core subjects:

  • Math
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • English
  • Social Studies
