2024 Youth Achievement Awards Scholarship Application
WHO CAN APPLY?
✦ Grade 12 students graduating in 2024
✦ High school upgrading, or ready to attend post-secondary
✦ Must be a client, participant or volunteer in one or more CBFY program
✦ Not a previous winner of a CBFY scholarship
YOU WILL NEED TO SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:
✦ A short biography (max. 500 words)
✦ A project. You may choose between an essay (max. 1200 words), art piece, video, poem, song, or creative medium.
– All projects other than essay require a short written rationale (max. 250 words).
✦ 2 written references (from a teacher, faith-based leader, coach, youth worker, work supervisor, etc. Please do not use a family member as a reference.)
✦ A photograph of yourself
✦ Signed consent form
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
✦ Multiple scholarships are available, valued at $1500 each.
✦ A committee of CBFY staff will be choosing the award winners based on:
– resilience and tenacity of personal contributions and achievements
– need
– personal, social or academic goals
✦ Awards can be used for your educational development, including upgrading.
✦ Award funds will be given to the successful recipient.
✦ Award winners will be expected to attend CBFY’s Youth Achievement Awards Gala on October 18th, 2024 and may be invited to attend other CBFY events.
