Get Ready for School Workshops
This workshop is for parents and students in kindergarten to grade 12 who are new to the Alberta school system.
Learn all about schools in Canada, how to support your child at school, and where to get help if you need it.

Location: All workshops will take place at the CBFY office located in the Gateway Building at 910 7th Ave SW (the CBFY office is on the 15th floor)

WIN & NOW Summer Camp
A summer program for recent newcomers in grades 7 to 12
Open to students in Grades 7–12, this FREE two-day program helps newcomers feel confident and prepared for school in Canada! Participants will learn about Canadian culture, explore Alberta’s education system, enjoy interactive activities and a field trip, make new friends, and create lifelong memories along the way.
Date: August 18 & 19 (Tuesday & Wednesday)
Time: 10 AM – 3 PM each day
Location: Mount Royal School (2234 14th Street SW)

Youth Achievement Awards Benefit Gala
Please join us on October 23, 2026, for the 14th Annual Youth Achievement Awards Gala hosted by The Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth.
This evening recognizes the achievements of newcomer children, youth, and families, and celebrates the community partners, ambassadors, and donors who support their success.
Join us as we honour resilience, achievement, and community impact.
Every ticket supports programs that help newcomer children, youth, and families thrive. Together, we are building a more inclusive and compassionate community where they can succeed.
During the event, guests will also have opportunities to give through a silent auction, 50/50 draw, and donations (cash, cheque, or online).
We will award 10 scholarships of $1,500 each to outstanding CBFY Grade 12 students who have demonstrated exceptional resilience and achievement as immigrants or refugees in Canada.
