Winter WIN & NOW (Friday, January 30, 2026)

Welcome & Information for Newcomers (WIN) / Newcomer Orientation & Welcome (NOW)
WIN and NOW are welcoming orientation programs for newcomer youth in Grades 7–12. Designed to support students transitioning into Alberta’s school system, the day includes learning about school life in Alberta, interactive activities, a free boxing session, and a pizza lunch. This is a great opportunity for youth to build confidence, ask questions, and connect with other newcomers. This event is completely free and open to newcomer youth who arrived August 2025 or later.

2026 CBFY Youth Multicultural Fair (Friday, February 20, 2026)

Join us for a fun, welcoming event for newcomer children, youth, and young adults ages 5–30. The Multicultural Newcomer Fair connects young newcomers with community organizations, services, and opportunities while celebrating Calgary’s cultural diversity. Enjoy live performances, interactive activities, and chances to meet other newcomers, build confidence, and feel supported in your new community. Join us for this free event!
