We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible Summer Camp Leaders to support the delivery of programs for children and youth. This role is ideal for individuals who are energetic, dependable, and passionate about creating safe, inclusive, and engaging environments.

Position Overview:

As a Summer Camp Leader, you will work as part of a team to deliver outdoor activities that promote learning, teamwork, and personal growth. You will play a key role in ensuring participants feel safe, included, and encouraged to explore new experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Delivery & Supervision:
Lead and actively engage participants in outdoor recreational and learning activities.
Ensure the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all participants always.
Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive environment.

Program Implementation:
Support the delivery of structured outdoor programs and activities.
Facilitate games, group activities, and experiential learning sessions.
Contribute ideas to enhance participant engagement.rces

Communication:
Maintain clear and timely communication with supervisors and team members.
Build positive relationships with participants and families.
Provide updates regarding attendance and participant well-being.

Administration & Reporting
Track daily attendance and maintain accurate records.
Assist with participant surveys and program documentation.
Complete required reports and observation forms.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Eligibility (Canada Summer Jobs Program)
Must be 15 -30 years of age
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Official Refugee Protection Status)

Education & Experience
Experience working with children or youth is preferred.
Preference given to applicants who have completed or are pursuing a degree/diploma in education, social work, human services, or a related discipline will be considered.

Skills & Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to lead and engage groups in an outdoor setting.
Reliable, organized, and team oriented.
Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.

Additional Requirements
Availability to work Monday to Thursday during the summer program period.
Standard First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Police Record Check and Child Intervention Check (or willingness to obtain).
Reliable transportation to outdoor program locations.

Working Conditions

This role is primarily outdoors and requires active participation in physical and recreational activities.
Work takes place in parks, community spaces, and outdoor environments.
Candidates should be comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Program Team Lead
