“You never give up on belonging.”

We are thrilled to share that CBC News recently featured our Bridges to Community program in a wonderful article highlighting the power of early prevention programs for youth.

As Calgary’s schools grow more crowded, our team at the Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth is working hard to create safe, supportive spaces where young people can build resilience, confidence, and connection. Through activities like mindfulness, teamwork games, and acts of kindness, students are gaining lifelong skills that help them resist negative influences and strengthen their sense of belonging.

We’re incredibly proud of our staff, our students, and our partners who make this important work possible every day. We’d also like to give a special thank you to CBC News for helping us share this story with the broader community!

Together, we believe that every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and strong.

We look forward to expanding this work even further — because, as our Director of Programs Lorraine Kinsman says, “You never give up on belonging.”
