Youth Employability Skills & Strategies (YESS) Program
Support and training for employment readiness for youth aged 15 to 30
Adapting to life in a new country can be challenging, especially for young people who need to balance education with work to support their families.
The Youth Employability Skills & Strategies (YESS) Program assists newcomer youth and young adults aged 15 to 30 by providing the support and training they need to secure and maintain employment.
The YESS Program aims to help youth:
- find a value-driven career
- excel in job interviews
- write standout resumes and cover letters
Through group sessions in high schools as well as personalized one-on-one support, the YESS Project equips vulnerable newcomers with essential job-seeking skills, including resume and cover letter writing, employment site visits, and interview techniques.
