Success Story: The Javier Family

We received the following letter from a family that attended the Multicultural Newcomer Youth Fair on Sunday, August 31st. Their daughter, Lana (pictured above with our staff Arnida Guillermo & Fromen Bensing), won a laptop at the event’s raffle, which was kindly donated by A&G Associates!

To the Calgary Bridge Foundation,

We would like to express our gratitude for this opportunity for us to participate in the program. We are thankful that there are functions like these that help us adjust to all of these new experiences. The guidance offered to us through the hosts and the speakers invited extended beyond the usual advice, with topics warning us about the presence of gangs, the influence of things such as drugs and guns on one’s life, and the importance of valuing the choices you make. Every aspect of the event displayed the amount of dedication and effort of everyone involved.

We would like to express our appreciation to the facilitators for organizing such a wonderful and well thought out event, to the Calgary Bridge staff for being attentive to the attendees and their inquiries, and to the sponsors who provided support in funding the program.

The event made it more memorable for us in winning the major raffle prize that will help us in our school activities. We look forward to conducive events similar to this
