What an incredible evening!
On Friday, November 7, we celebrated the Youth Achievement Awards Benefit Gala — a truly unforgettable night, made even more special as we marked CBFY’s 35th anniversary!
We were honoured to recognize 13 outstanding youth scholarship recipients whose dedication, leadership, and resilience continue to inspire us.
The evening was further elevated by a visit from Mayor Jeromy Farkas, an amazing performance by Revv52, and the presence of so many community members who came together to celebrate newcomer and immigrant youth.
We are especially grateful to all of our sponsors who made the evening possible:
Champion Sponsor: M.J. Morcom Professional Corporation (Michael Morcom)
Scholarship donors: The ARK Foundation, Dr. John Wu, BMO Private Wealth, MK Auto Group, The RBC Foundation, Han Corea Restaurant, WOW Holdings, The GTA Foundation, Aquinas College, FSE Financial Group, Hamilton and Partners, The Canadian Immigrant Women’s Association, and TIES (The Immigrant Education Society).
Community sponsors: Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary, AccessHR, AxeIT Consulting, Centre for Newcomers, Excel Homes, Flourishing Workplace, Portail de l’Immigrant Association (PIA), the Cattoni Family, Joe Wang, Kenneth Ng, and the Kinsman Family.
Special thanks to Revv52 for generously donating their talents, and to the Empire Banquet Hall for hosting this amazing event.
We also launched our “35 for 35” campaign through Crowdfunding Alberta, celebrating 35 years of building bridges to belonging. You can support this milestone by donating $35 (one dollar for every year of empowering newcomer youth and families) at https://give.crowdfunding.alberta.ca/CBFY35YEARS
We are so grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate the remarkable achievements of youth and to support the bright futures they are building.
