Our Team

Kenneth brings over a decade of experience in accounting and financial management, with specialization in nonprofit audits and governance, gaining deep insight into the financial challenges and opportunities unique to the sector. Prior to joining the team, he was the Director of Finance for a national home installation service provider.

Kenneth is particularly drawn to Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth’s mission of supporting newcomer youth and their families. With a commitment to practical, long-term solutions, Kenneth is dedicated to helping create a solid financial foundation that allows CBFY to continue its important work.

Outside of work, you'll typically find Kenneth out on a walk with his dogs or experimenting with new culinary escapades to stay grounded and creative. He is an enjoyer of all foods and welcomes the opportunity to try out new recipes!

Jo Ann began her professional career in Canada in Human Resources with The Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth. She later spent over 12 years in corporate accounting and finance before returning to the nonprofit sector.

Having experienced the process of building a life in a new country herself, she finds meaning in supporting newcomers as they build connections, find a sense of belonging, and create a future in their new community.

Outside of work, Jo Ann enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the mountains and lakes, reading, biking, walking, and travelling. She is drawn to new places, different cultures, new foods, and the stories and traditions that give each place its character.

Lena Sakhatsky, originally from Ukraine, brings extensive experience in accounting and finance across diverse industries in multiple countries. She is inspired by CBFY's mission, as its work is close to her heart and aligns with her values and passions.
